Sailfish05. REEL LOVE: I've been blessed/cursed with a set of Lenco's on my flats boat for 12 years now. My guess is that a seal has failed. When you replace the actuator (which I suspect you will have to do) you will see a small amount of water drain from the old one. Zip Loc freezer bag. Take the qt. freezer bag and put it inside of a brown paper lunch bag, the heavy type is the best. When storing them in the frig turn the bag over a few time a day, this keeps the worms aired inside the plastic bag. If that's still the case then aluminum butts are the way to go, period. For $20-40 less a rod you can go with slick butts. You will gain some stability with the aluminum butts and certainly longevity.
